Appointment of other State organs

According to the Constitution and statutes, the Sejm appoints and dismisses other State organs. In particular, the Sejm appoints members of the Constitutional Tribunal (with the exception of the President and the Vicepresident of this Tribunal appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland from amongst candidates proposed by the General Assembly of the Judges of the Constitutional Tribunal) and the Tribunal of State. With the consent of the Senate, the Sejm appoints the President of the Supreme Chamber of Control, the Commissioner for Citizen's Rights as well as the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data. On the motion of the President the Sejm appoints the President of the National Bank of Poland. Additionally, the Sejm appoints four members of the National Council of the Judiciary, one-third of the Council for Monetary Policy, and four members of the National Council of Radio Broadcasting and Television.
